Community + Events Assistant

Sorelle Social Co. is hiring a part-time assistant to support research, outreach, community administration + event execution across the Sorelle ecosystem.

Weekly remote, administrative + research work is paid hourly. In-person event assignments are scoped + paid separately based on the event and assigned responsibilities.

The Role

Support the work behind the experiences.

Sorelle Social Co. connects community, events + travel through Sorelle Social Club, Sorelle Events Co. + Sorelle Travel Co.

This role supports the recurring work that keeps those areas moving. Assignments will typically fall into research, follow-up, administration + event support.

Research is a regular part of the job. You may be assigned vendors, venues, prospective clients, event concepts, sponsorship opportunities or other leads to source + organize. Final outreach, purchases, bookings, partnerships + business commitments require approval before action is taken.

What You’ll Do

Research vendors, venues, prospective clients, event ideas, collaboration opportunities + sponsorship opportunities.

Build organized shortlists with contact details, pricing or key terms, source links + relevant comparison points.

Send approved emails, DMs + follow-up messages to partners, vendors, venues + community contacts.

Maintain trackers, contact lists, RSVP details + assigned records.

Support routine community engagement + social administration from provided direction.

Assist with event confirmations, files, supplies + preparation.

Support local pickups, setup, guest check-in, onsite execution + breakdown when scheduled.

A Strong Fit

Organized, resourceful + comfortable behind the scenes.

Previous experience in events, administration, research, hospitality, customer service, community work or small business is helpful. Strong transferable skills are welcome too.

Clear written communication
Comfortable with Google Drive, email, social platforms + basic digital tools
Able to work independently from clear assignments + deadlines
Metro Detroit-based with reliable transportation
Available for occasional weekend or evening event support
